At "Time to Sow" we offer a comprehensive range of craft products with a Christian flavour. We started by collecting together Christian product from wherever we could find it and bringing it together in one place. We quickly realized that there were huge gaps. We found sourcing Christian Christmas Stamps fairly easy but Easter stamps with Christian images rather than eggs and rabbits almost impossible. So we decided to start designing our own products under the name of "Words Like Honey" this has given us a comprehensive and steadily growing range of wooden backed rubber stamps and photo polymer clear stamps. We then made contact with a printer who with the aide of some very sophisticated new technology are able to print for us 12"x 12" scrapbook papers and decoupage to a very high quality enabling us to produce papers incorporating photographs and to capture detail that is unusually lacking in scrapbooking and decoupage.

We work with a number of Churches and other Christian groups that run craft groups as a social activity for members and as an outreach to the surrounding community these proving to be very successful and well attended and a great opportunity to make new friends.

Mandy and I have been involved in children's work for a number of years in the local Church and found the inclusion of craft and puppets in our sessions make them more memorable and enjoyable for the children. We have used the puppets within Church services and school assemblies. We seldom use puppet theaters' with a set presentation but we tend to use the puppets sat on our arms and chat to them making the set up much quicker and allowing for easier interaction with the children. We also use the puppets in small groups with the children operating the puppets not as a performance but as a roll play. This is where I tell a story and have the children act it out using their puppets to represent the various characters. This type of approach helps children see the story from the standpoint of their character. We are also available to visit and run puppet workshops if you are interested just give us a ring and we can discuss what we can offer.
